Eluru: Telugu Desam supremo and former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu alleged here on Monday that due to wrong policies of the Congress Government the lives of the farmers in Kolleru were ruined. He assured them that he would take steps to restrict Kolleru Lake to third contour if the TDP comes to power in the next elections.
On 161st day, Chandrababu walked for 12 kms in his Meekosam Vastunna padayatra from Pedda Amiram in Undi constituency and ended it at Pennada on Monday. Common people and Telugu Desam workers came to his meetings in large numbers. Earlier, addressing the Telugu Desam workers from Eluru and Chintalapudi constituencies, he said he selected the candidates for the ensuing Assembly elections six months in advance and the party workers would have sufficient to mobilize people to the party candidates elected.
He described the Congress and YSR Congress as two sides of the same coin and alleged that during the Presidential elections, YSR Congress extended support to Congress candidate Pranab Mukherjee.
Eluru constituency in-charge Ambica Krishna , MLAs Vetukuri Sivarama Raju, T V Rama Rao and District Party president Sita Ramalakshmi and others accompanied him.
