Shinde pays visit to his family friend

Vijayawada: The Union Home Minister, Sushil Kumar Shinde, here on Sunday met his family friend, Thotakura Bhumaiah, at Kanuru. The Home Minister arrived here at the Gannavaram airport and drove straight to Kanuru to the residence of Bhumaiah, a railway contractor. The Union Home Minister had his breakfast there and returned to the Gannavaram airport along with the TTD chairman K Bapiraju. He later proceeded to West Godavari to participate in local programmes. Earlier, the District Collector, Dr Buddha Prakash M Jyothi, City Police Commissioner N Madhusudhan Reddy, district SP Prabhakara Rao, Joint Collector P Usha Kumari, Nuzvid Revenue Divisional Officer D Subba Rao, Eluru Lok Sabha member Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, legislators Malladi Vishnu, Vellampalli Srinivas and Yalamanchili Ravi, industrialist Gokaraju Gangaraju, former mayor Dr Jandhyala Shankar, Krishna District Congress president N Narasimha Rao, city Congress president, Adapa Sivanagendram, Youth Congress leader Devineni Avinash and others welcomed the Union Minister at the airport.
