Fight faulty govt policies, insurance staff told

Vijayawada: The insurance employees should be able to assess, understand the present financial plans of the government and the taxes levied on the public so as to educate the people about the financial status of the country, said the Member of Legislative Council Boddu Nageswara Rao during the inauguration of the 13th annual meeting of the Vizag region General Insurance Employees Association at Kandukuri Function Hall in the city on Saturday.

Addressing the gathering, Nageswara Rao said that the insurance employees play a pivotal role in the financial health of the country. They have a responsibility to fight against the faulty financial policies of the government and oppose the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the country, he said.

The employees should unite to expose the deeds of private banks that are indulging in money laundering, oppose the increasing corruption and political anarchy. The public and like-minded associations should fight for protecting the interests of the country, he said.
