No power supply to Seemandhra leaders from Sept 2

Vijayawada: The Samaikyandhra Electricity Employees JAC on Saturday announced their decision cut off power supply from September 2 to 4 to the houses of the Seemandhra people’s representatives in support of their demand to keep the State united. They also decided to participate in the agitation by launching an indefinite strike from September 12. The decision was taken at a meeting of the JAC at Ibrahimpatnam, near Vijayawada, where the leaders discussed the future course of action. They employees would stop work at the power-generation units for three days from September 2.

The meeting demanded action against those responsible for registering ‘false’ cases against Seemandhra engineers recently in Vidyut Souda. They asserted that their struggle would continue till the State bifurcation move was withdrawn.
