Gudivada (Krishna): As part of the struggle against the division of the State, the Samaikyandhra JAC has decided to enforce bandh of all Central government offices in Gudivada on Friday. As many as 23 banks in the town, five branches of insurance companies, offices of postal, BSNL, income tax, FCI and CWC godowns will be closed, according to JAC leaders Yarlagadda Venkateswara Prasad and Hanumantha Rao.
A meeting of electricity employees held at local NGO Home paid tributes to Sankar Yadav, a teacher who died while participating in Samaikyandhra stir. The 72-hour strike by electricity staff would prove costly for the governments that were playing with the sentiments of the people by creating a rift, the meeting opined.
Employees under the aegis of NGOs Association begged on the roads to mark the completion of one month of their struggle against State division in the town. The protesters said they prefer begging to State disintegration. Meanwhile, the relay fast by Samaikyandhra JAC entered 38th day at Nehru Chowk. The municipal employees completed 30 days of hunger strike. Teachers JAC relay fast camp at municipal office continued on 10th day.
