#ShameOnTimesNow Trending on Twitter After Arnab Goswami Calls India Loss to Australia Shameful. Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni\'s wife delivered a baby girl just before World Cup season began. Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni's wife delivered a baby girl just before World Cup season began. When Dhoni was asked if he would like to get a glimpse of his daughter before he began playing, he replied so calmly: “I am on national duty. World Cup is important for me and I rather be here. Everything else can wait!”. Such is the quality of a true leader and a man who leads from the front even when the pressure is at fever's pitch.
However, it must have come as a shock for him when English TV news channel TimesNow accused him for shirking responsibility after his post-match press meet.
While irate fans vented their anger on poor Anushka Sharma merely for being there on the stands to cheer for her beau Virat Kohli, Arnab Goswami went a step ahead to call India's defeat in the semi final match against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground an 'abject surrender'. Did India really suffer a 'humiliating loss'? So thinks the TimesNow or at least Arnab Goswami who's known to take a weird approach to news when the entire world think on same lines. This, after the MenInBlue beat every international team till Semi Finals.
The team did falter in terms of batting but that cannot be termed as a 'surrender'- Can we?
Australia is no doubt a balanced team with a powerful batting lineup. So even before the match started, we did have our fears of getting through the semi final stage.
But when our worst fears came true, why blame the players? Aren't they humans? Haven't they made us proud till this moment? Even during Thursday's match they did give their best. But they had to bow down to the might of Australia. It's a game after all.
But Times Now called the loss 'Shameful' adding fuel to fire. And this only enraged fans who were already disappointed with the team's loss.

Debating tonight on @thenewshour: Surrender without a fight! A total washout in #Sydney: Can we be in denial?
Makes me wonder if Arnab is no better than the immature fans who burnt effigies of cricketers, broke TV sets and blamed Anushka Sharma for India's poor show in the crucial match. Let's not forget that Ms Dhoni's team has given us some of the best cricketing moments in history. He did lead India to victory in the T20 World Cup. It was under Dhoni that Indians lifted the Champions Trophy and also won a 50-over World Cup. We must give it to Dhoni for proving for being captain cool!
Of course, this too was a crucial match and the entire nation was pinning its hope on this match to make their #WeWontGiveBack dream come true. But then every team deserves a mauka don't they?
The need of the hour is for media to act responsibly and not resort to provocation. Arnab's show was certainly made Indians feel worse.
A few people who watched the show created a hashtag on Twitter which is still trending. A few have even vowed to unfollow TimesNow for such a shameful show.
#ShameOnTimes is trending at No.1 spot on Twitter.
