Andhra Pradesh Minister Bhuma Akhilapriya left the TDP leaders and workers red-faced when she said that if the Centre did not grant special state status to Andhra Pradesh and sanction the steel plant for Kadapa, the party would take out a cycle yatra to Delhi.

Now cycling all the way to Delhi would need lot of time and if the ministers and MLAs are on a cycling mission, the Opposition would slam the TDP for complete absence of governance. This would reduce the TDP to a laughing stock.

She made these comments while speaking at the fast site in Kadapa, where TDP MP CM Ramesh is on an indefinite fast. The leaders present there immediately corrected her and explained to her the problems involved in such long cycle yatras. Akhila Priya wasn’t exactly pleased at this correction.
