Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy said that BJP National President Amit Shah, during his visit to Telangana, has endorsed the secret ties between BJP and TRS.

Gudur Narayana Reddy, in a media statement on Sunday, ridiculed Amit Shah's statement of BJP not having any alliance with TRS in next Assembly elections. "Entire world knows that BJP and TRS are undeclared partners. TRS not only supported BJP Government at the Centre in all its moves like demonitisation and GST, but it also voted for BJP candidates in the elections for President of India and Vice President. By abstaining from voting during the No Confidence Motion moved by the TDP, TRS MPs openly supported the Modi Government. Therefore, it is ridiculous for Amit Shah to say that BJP and TRS are not allies," he said adding that PM Modi reciprocated by praising the TRS Government in Parliament.

The Congress leader said that Amit Shah, while addressing a press conference in Hyderabad and while speaking at a public meeting in Mahabubnagar, spoke only lies. He said BJP Government did nothing for Telangana during the last four-and-a-half years. "BJP Government did not implement any of the promises made with Telangana in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act like a steel plant at Bayyaram, Railway Coach Factory at Qazipet, IIM and IIT for Telangana or funds for ITIR. Not a single project of Telangana has been accorded the status of a National Project. The Centre even failed to bifurcate the High Court," he said.

Gudur Narayana Reddy said by making a mention of suicide by 4,200 farmers, torture of Dalits in Sircilla and arrest of chilli farmers in Khammam, Amit Shah has only admitted the failure of BJP Government in helping the farmers of Telangana. "Why did the Central Govt did not intervene when thousands of farmers across Telangana committed suicide? Why Union Home Ministry failed to take action when Dalits were brutally tortured by local police for raising voice against KCR family-backed sand mafia? Why Central teams were not sent to Khammam when Tribal farmers were implicated in a false case, arrested, chained and hand-cuffed? In lieu of secret support extended by TRS, BJP Government remained a mute spectator to the injustices done to various sections by KCR Govt," he said.

The Congress leader also accused Amit Shah of inciting communal feelings to gain ground in Telangana. "Instead of giving a clarification on why people of Telangana did not get Rs. 15 lakh in their accounts, as promised by Narender Modi during elections speeches of 2014, Amit Shah tried to raise communal issues. He completely avoided real issues and tried to divert people's attention by speaking about MIM, Razakars and Hyderabad Liberation Day celebrations. "The BJP president is now saying that his party's government at the Centre was against giving 12% reservation to Muslims. Why he did not react when KCR had made a statement in Assembly claiming that PM Modi has already agreed to increase Muslim quota to 12%? By remaining silent at that point of time, they allowed KCR to mislead the Muslim community," he said.

Strongly criticising Amit Shah's remarks accusing Congress party of ill-treating senior leaders late T. Anjaiah and PV Narasimha Rao, Gudur Narayana Reddy said that the BJP President was ignorant of real history. He said both the leaders became political legends due to Congress party and they too remained Congressmen till their last breath. Before commenting on Congress party, he said, Amit Shah, must explain as to why Bandaru Dattatreyya, a BC leader and lone minister representing Telangana, was sacked from the Union Cabinet. "BJP President is making baseless allegations by distorting history. But he is silent on how the present BJP regime is humiliating BC leaders like Dattatreyya," he said.

Gudur Narayana Reddy described Amit Shah's speech as a bundle of lies. "After hearing Amit Shah's speech one can easily make out that he is trying to be a better liar than KCR. However, people of Telangana have made up their mind to reject both TRS and BJP to end the KCR-Modi era of lies and deception," he said.
