Jeedimetla: Former MLA DK Aruna on Monday posed a question to caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao why he ignored women and failed to include them in the State Cabinet. Addressing a women’s convention organised by the Congress, the party firebrand also asked how KCR could seek women’s votes. She wanted him to ponder over whether justice has been done to women, while alleging that only the CM’s family was a beneficiary of the TRS-rule during the last four-and-a-half years.

Aruna sought to know the steps taken to develop Hyderabad by the ruling party, even while describing it as ‘Vishwa Nagaram.’ She pointed out that only voters would decide the status of the city roads. Referring to KCR’s speeches during the three recent public meetings ‘for securing the Andhra votes’, Aruna accused him of using words not befitting his status and also making tall claims. She stated that former Congress president Sonia Gandhi had conceded Telangana State after considering youth would sacrifice their lives because of KCR’s separate Statehood struggle). ‘Yet KCR resorted to belittling Sonia Gandhi by reeling out satires after occupying the CM’s post’.

Aruna warned that people of Telangana won’t keep quiet if K Chandrashekar Rao speaks ill of others. “If you seek votes after holding out threats to them (voters) they would bury you in 60 days,” the former Gadwal MLA cautioned. She wondered whether KCR wanted to call himself ‘dora’ (landlord) upon emerging victorious in the Assembly elections reducing voters to subservient (‘gulam’). She also questioned the CM whether he would distribute the Bathukamma saris to his family members after humiliating the women across the State. The former MLA expressed confidence of the Congress party coming to power at the Centre and in Telangana State after the ensuing elections.
