Congress MLCs call on Swami Goud to merge CLP in TRS
In a major setback to Congress, its three MLCs call on Telangana Legislative Council Chairman K Swami Goud on Friday and request him to initiate measures for merger of Congress legislature party in the council into TRS
Hyderabad: In a major setback to Congress, its three MLCs call on Telangana Legislative Council Chairman K Swami Goud on Friday and request him to initiate measures for merger of Congress legislature party in the council into TRS.
The delegation which called on Swami Goud comprised K Damodar Reddy, MS Prabhakar and T Santosh Kumar.
Only on Thursday, two Congress MLCs Akula Lalitha and Santosh Kumar met Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and express their desire to join the TRS. Damodar Reddy and Prabhakar are already continuing in TRS.
There are seven Congress MLCs of whom K Rajagopal Reddy had resigned after he was elected to the Assembly. Of the remaining six, four have either joined the TRS or about to join. That leaves only two MLCs Md Ali Shabber and P Sudhakar Reddy whose term is ending in March next year, anyway.
