Youth beaten up by cops in Hyderabad
A group of youth who attended friends birthday party have been allegedly beaten up by cops on Wednesday around 11 pm
A group of youth who attended friend's birthday party have been allegedly beaten up by cops on Wednesday around 11 pm.
While they were celebrating the party in front of the house in Tadban, the neighbours informed the police for the inconvenience being caused to them. The police who reached the spot warned the youth and disbursed them. On the next day, the youth again visited their friend's house to extend wishes following which the police rushed to the spot and resorted lathi charge.
Around nine members were taken into custody. Meanwhile, the youth alleged that they have been beaten for an unknown reason and arrested. "The cops used filthy language and abused using casteist slurs," said a victim.
The youth lodged a complaint with Human right commission, DGP and at commissioner office.
