Around Rs 6.70 lakh was stolen from a wine shop staff after a group of dacoits opened fire in the air and threatened to kill them here at Jangaon late on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, three security guards of wine shop were intercepted by the dacoits and threatened to hand over the money they were carrying after two rounds of gunfire in the air. Scared of them, the staff handed over the money to them.
Based on the complaint registered by the guards, Jangaon DCP Srinivas Reddy examined the spot and launched an investigation.
