HYDERABAD:All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday slammed Union MoS (skill development) Ananth Kumar Hedge for his comments on Charminar stating that the monument had been built by Jains. Owaisi also said that the Bharat Ratna for Babasaheb Ambedkar was more out of compulsion.
While Addressing a gathering, at a Hindu Jagaran Vedike Hedge had said: ' we have to rethink about priorities of our society. we should'nt think of caste. If a Hindu girl is touched by hand, then that hand should be chopped off. That hand should not exist.
His remarks did not go all well with Hyderabad MP who took a dig, alleging the union minister of instigating people. "The only Skill Development this Minister has done is ask people to chop hands, kill people, etc. Charminar has stood tall as a symbol of muslim contribution to the Deccan and India. It has seen thousands of Hedges come and go and it will see further another thousand".- OWAISI tweeted
He also said that charminar is a historical monument, and one of the wonders of the world, and it is puerly a contribution to the country from Muslim community. Addressing a meeting in Maharashtra's Kalyan, Owaisi said that the Bharat Ratna for Babasaheb Ambedkar was also given out of mere compulsion indicating how the ruling party BJP was tring to woo Dalits. Out of teh Bharat Ratnas given, how many were given to Dalits, adivasis, Muslims, poor, upper caste and Brhamins. Bharat Ratna to Babasaheb was out of total compusion, not from heart said Owaisi.
