A 26-year-old auto driver died after consuming acid mixed alcohol late on Monday here in Chandrayangutta. The incident came to light after the police registered a case on Tuesday.
On Sunday night, Vijay Kumar Swamy went on to the terrace to take alcohol and he mixed acid in the alcohol mistaking for water. When he experienced severe burns in his throat, he alerted his family members who shifted to Osmania General Hospital. He was dead Monday night while undergoing treatment.
Swamy, a resident of Kummariwada was the younger son of Ganapati Swamy.
