A youngster attacked an Intermediate girl with coconut sickle on the road to accept his love on Wednesday at Barkatpura under Kachiguda police station limits. The victim identified as Madhulika.
According to police, a person by name Bharat was harassing Madhulika since long time to accept his love. When Madhulika rejected his proposal, the accused attacked her in the morning hours at Barkatpura with a coconut sickle. The victim injured seriously whom the police and locals shifted her to Yashoda Hospital in Malakpet for emergency treatment. Doctors said her condition is critical. The victim persuing intermediate second year in a private college.
Police by filing a case are investigating. They are verifying CCTV footage to nab the culprit.
