Mahankali Traffic police station inspector Venugopal and SI Kanakaiah said that they have arrested 44 people in drunk driving last week and their vehicles have been seized. The arrested were sent for counselling before producing them in court, said the police officials.
Based on their alcoholic percentage, the people were sentenced to 2 or 3 days of jail term along with a fine of Rs 3,300, added the police.
