Sangareddy (Medak): Honorary president of YSR Congress party Y S Vijayamma embarked on a tour of Telangana on Tuesday and received a tumultuous welcome when she arrived at Sangareddy in the district from Hyderabad. Addressing a massive gathering at Sangareddy, the district headquarters, she exhorted the party cadre to be available to the people all the time in their service. She invited the Youth Congress leader Manoj Reddy into the party-fold. YSRCP
Vijayamma was given a warm welcome in Andole constituency. While addressing the party workers at Jogipet, she paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Telangana and observed two �minute silence. She told the party workers to strive for victory in the forthcoming elections to the local bodies. She said that the party workers should hoist the party flag in each and every village. "The victory in the local body elections would bring out Jagan," she added. Recalling the services of Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, she said that YS recognized the backwardness of Telangana and implemented various welfare schemes for the people. He lambasted the chief minister for owning the welfare schemes introduced by Dr YS by changing the names of the schemes. "The Congress government did not do a single programme which would be useful to the people," she added. Criticising the former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, Vijayamma said that he was more interested in power rather than people's welfare. She said that YSR Congress was not against Telangana and the Centre should take a decision keeping in view the people's aspirations.
