This is with reference to the report ‘India, Pakistan make progress on corridor for Sikh pilgrims’ (Nov 23). The Indian government's plan for a passage for Sikh pilgrimage to Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan is a welcome move.
But now it is on the part of Pakistan to reciprocate the Indian move and create a conductive environment for the same. It is undeniable fact that this initiative will build good relationship between two nuclear-armed rivals.
This is a great opportunity for both the countries to go the extra mile to ease tension on the border and ensure peace in our country.
