Sanjay Dutt Gets Alcohol In Jail, Says Tawade. It is evident that Tawde has alleged that Sanjay Dutt has been supplied with alcohol for the entire period of his stay in Yerwada Jail, that too in the knowledge of the police officials.
Mumbai: Based on the allegations received from the Senior BJP Leader and the Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Vinod Tawade that Sanjay Dutt was supplied with liquor during his entire stay in the Pune’s Yerwada jail, the Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil has said that the government will look into the matter.He said, “We will investigate reports and will act strongly against those found involved”.
It is evident that Tawde has alleged that Sanjay Dutt has been supplied with alcohol for the entire period of his stay in Yerwada Jail, that too in the knowledge of the police officials.
It is worth mentioning here that Sanjay Dutt had surrendered self in a TADA court in Mumbai in the month of May 2013, after the Supreme Court delivered its final verdict on the Bollywood actor's part in the bomb blasts that slashed Mumbai in 1993.
Mr Dutt, who was sentenced to six years in jail in 2007, had his sentence reduced by one year. By that time, he had already served for 18 months before the final verdict was given. So, he was left with more 42 months of a term of total 60 months imprisonment.
