PMO rules out Manmohan's resignation

New Delhi: The Prime Minister office has iterated the news of Manmohan Singh's resignation from Prime Minister’s post as baseless. Conversely, it is learnt that Manmohan Singh will convene a press meet on January 3, at 11 a.m. to convey that he will not be in the race of Prime Ministers, after this term. All set to promote Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Ministerial candidate of Congress Party.

It is evident that AICC general body meeting will be held from January 17, 2014. There is an increased demand to declare Rahul as the prime ministerial candidate of the Congress Party, during the meet. It is also evident that even the finance minister, Chidambaram has demanded earlier for the declaration of their party's PM candidate.
