Neelkant, Veteran journalist passes away

Chennai: K Neelkant, a veteran journalist, died at Chennai on Saturday following infirmity. He had held senior editorial posts in various newspapers. Neelknat was 86 and ailing for sometime, according to his family members. Neelkant was survived by wife and three sons.

He had held senior positions, including the posts of Resident Editor of Times of India for both Lucknow and Bangalore, Assistant editor Tribune, Chandigarh and News editor Indian Express at various centres including Chennai and Kochi. He had also worked with The Age, Melbourne and Bangkok Post, Bangkok, the statement et al.
