Lalu, Nitish join hands after 24 yrs

Lalu Prasad Yadav, Nitish KumarPatna: After 24yrs, the former two chief ministers of Bihar - Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar have joined hands with each other. They have not only shared the same dais and embraced each other, but also greeted each other. Till now, the two parties are rivals. Nevertheless, in view of the looming elections in the state, to give a tough fight to the Bharatiya Janata Party, the two parties have been reportedly tying up an alliance with each other.

In the state, the by-elections will be held on August 21 for as many as 10 constituencies. JDU, the party which was an alliance of BJP led NDA coalition since last 17yrs broke out the union during the recent general elections. Nevertheless, both Nitish led JDU and Lalu led RJD will be fighting the contest along with the Congress Party.

In the recent assembly elections, the BJP has claimed a grand win of 31 seats out of a total of 40 seats. Owning the moral responsibility, Nitish Kumar has tendered a resignation from his Chief Minister’s post. The victory in the bi-elections might be the only aim, supposedly, that the parties are joining the hands after as much as 17 yrs. The trio joined hands to fight with the solo competitor BJP.
