Hyderbad: Inspired by the great Freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, the parents of late Wg Cdr Bhagat Singh might have named him so. The brave soldier lost his life in the air crash of Druv Chopper that occurred on July 25, a day before the Vijay Diwas, near Ataria area of Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh.
The brave pilot was one of the key persons involved in most of the rescue operations including the search team that traced out the traces of the dead body of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, in Pavuralagutta. He was an active member in the Kargil operations as well.
The brave soldier’s entire childhood passed at his residence in BHEL colony in Hyderabad. The death of the pilot left the bereaved family members in a sort of despair. The parents of Wg Cdr Thakur Narsing Bhagat Singh stated that their son is the son of Bharat Mata first and next to them, while restraining the heavy fall of tears. They feel proud of their son, yet, they could not control their tears as they could not digest the tragic death of their son. Of course, after all they are his parents!!
