New Delhi: Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator M.S. Dhir, who was denied a ticket by the party for the upcoming Delhi assembly polls, Friday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) here.
"I was unhappy with AAP as they were given an opportunity by the people of Delhi to clean the system but they failed in their job. There is no democracy in the party," Dhir told reporters.
Dhir said he was impressed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's work and was sure that the Delhi BJP would do well under Modi's leadership and guidance.
Dhir, MLA from south Delhi's Jangpura constituency, was the Speaker of the 70-member Delhi assembly which stands dissolved now.
