Applications invited for National award and Shilp Guru Awards- 2014

The office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India is inviting applications for National Award -2014 and Shilp Guru Award-2014 for Master Craftspersons.

The applications or entries of Masterpieces along with duly filled in proforma from Craftspersons creating the pieces from all over India for consideration/selection of these awards. All craftsperosns residing in India and who are above the age of 35 years and are having 10 years experience in the field of handicrafts as on 31.12.2014 are eligible for the National Award.

For the Shilp Guru award, the applicants should be National Awardee or State Awardee or Master craftsperson of extraordinary skill and not below the age of 55 years with 20 years experience in the field of handicrafts as on 31.12.2014 and should be contributing significantly to the development and promotion of the crafts and community. Those who had applied for award for the year 2013 Can Also Applied for award for the Year 2014.The application form may be obtained and duly filled application form along with their master piece of entry may be submitted at any of the following offices:-

Applications can also be get from Marketing and Service Extension Centres (M&SECs)/Carpet Weaving Training-cum- service Centres (CWTSCs)/Regional Design & Technical Development Centres, Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Central/State Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporations, Directorate of State Industries and District Industries Centres.
