New Delhi: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front chairman Yasin Malik on Wednesday said that the government's move to create a separate colony in the state for Kashmiri Pandits would only result in building walls of hatred, just like Israel.

"Since elections, the BJP via RSS has been talking about setting up a satellite colony for our Pandit brothers. The pandits have as much rights on Kashmir as I have. In India everyone talks about composite culture; that means people of different cultures should live together. But a separate colony on the basis of religion will only build walls of hate, like in Israel," Malik told the media.

"Thousands of Kashmiri Pandits live happily here, what fire are the chief minister and RSS playing with by saying they are going to create a separate colony? RSS is playing tricks in Kashmir and Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed wants to turn Kashmir into a state of hatred. Pandits should come and live amongst us as before," he added.

Meanwhile, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) said that the government has made a comprehensive plan over the matter.

"We have made a comprehensive plan; the Government of India has assured 'ghar wapsi' of Kashmiri Pandits," said party spokesperson Naeem Akhtar.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has accepted the demand for creating separate zones for Kashmiri Pandits in the state.

Earlier on Tuesday, Sayeed has assured Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh that his government would immediately start the process for creating the zones.
