The centre has directed the Reserve Bank of India to reschedule the loans even if the crop loss was just 33%, says Prime Minister Narender Modi. Hundreds of crore worth standing crops like paddy, maize, cash crops of turmeric suffered due to the unseasonal rains.


Modi said anything is just a small effort in front of the huge needs of the farmers who are the bread earners of the nation. The RBI has also issued directions to nationalized banks to reschedule the crop loans of farmers.
