On Monday, Nampally Court has granted conditional bail to Satyam Computers Services Ltd founder-chairman B. Ramalinga Raju, his brother B. Rama Raju and eight others.

A personal bond amount of Rs. 1 Lakh has also been issued for B. Ramalinga Raju and B. Rama Raju while Rs 50, 000 has been issued for the others involved in the case. The local court granted bail based on the appeal filed by B Ramalinga Raju and nine others who sought the suspension of their sentence in the multi-crore rupee accounting fraud.

Raju and nine other convicts including his brother are currently lodged in Cherlapally Central Prison and filed the appeal in the court on Monday, challenging the sentence and fine imposed by the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court (ACMM) in the Rs 7,000-crore scandal that came into limelight in 2009.
