Fadnavis Got Some Kickback Along With Munde, Says Congress. Nirupam said the Congress Party is demanding that Munde steps down until an inquiry establishes her innocence.

Mumbai: Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam on Saturday alleged that Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's hurry to give a clean chit to state Women and Children Development Minister Pankaja Munde on Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) schemes suggested that he might have received some kickback as well.
"The due process is that anybody in government wants to procure anything worth more than three lakh rupees, it has to go through e-tendering. Pankaja Munde has already done corruption of rupees 206 crores. All the documents are very much available in the public domain which says that she has given contract to her favoured contractors worth rupees 206 crores without following any due process. That shows that Pankaja Munde has indulged in corruption and now the Chief Minister is in a huge hurry in giving clean chit to the lady. It means that either the chief minister is not interested in getting it enquired or he must have got some kickback along with Pankaja Munde," Nirupam told ANI here.
Nirupam said the Congress Party is demanding that Munde steps down until an inquiry establishes her innocence.
"All the documents have been submitted to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) office which comes under the Home Ministry, and the Home Ministry is controlled by the chief minister. That means that the documents are very much available in the department, which he is heading or leading. The ACB comes under the chief minister and the chief minister's rule is suspicious. That is why we are demanding that the whole process should be enquired into either by the CBI or court-monitored SIT," he said.
"And, till then, Pankaja Munde must step down," he added.
Pankaja Munde has been accused of flouting norms while clearing purchase orders. However, she dismissed the charges levelled at her by the Congress, maintaining that she has not violated any rules.
As per rules, all government procurements over Rs three lakh are to be made through e-tenders.
However, the Maharashtra Women and Children Development Ministry cleared the overcharged purchase orders for anganwadi schools without inviting tenders.
