55 Cities Approved For Solar Cities. So far, 55 existing cities in 27 States/UTs are being developed as solar cities in the country under ‘Development of Solar Cities programme’.
So far, 55 existing cities in 27 States/UTs are being developed as solar cities in the country under ‘Development of Solar Cities programme’. This was stated by Sh. Piyush Goyal, Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal & New and Renewable Energy in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today. State-wise list of approved solar cities is given below:-
