Kasab hangman may execute Yakub Memon at Nagpur jail on July 30
A constable from Yerawada prison in Pune, the hangman for Ajmal Kasab reached Nagpur’s Central Prison two days ago suggesting that he might be the same hangman for Yakub Memon on July 30.

The sources from the prisons department indicated that the constable whose identity was withheld for security reasons is supervising the preparations with a dummy replicating Yakub’s weight and body.

The state prisons department, led by ADG Meeran Borwanka, a week ago selected three other constables from the Central Prison to carry out the execution who have been engaged in the preparations and coordinating with PWD officials for the construction of the special shed where Memon is to be hanged.
However, whether the constable who is nicknamed as “Babu Jallad” has been finalized as the hangman or he will supervise the execution is not yet confirmed by the officials.
