Majlis-eIttehadul Muslimeen (MIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi responding to Bollywood actor Aamir Khan intolerance statement on Tuesday said that he cannot speak for a filmstar but will speak as a proud Indian Muslim and say that he would never succumb to the dog-whistle politics politics of the Sangh Parivar or the Fascist organisations.
Owaisi said that as long as planet Earth survives Muslims in India would continue to live as proud citizens in the country. He added that whatever happens the right-wing Hindu groups will not be able to create fear amongst the Muslims as the country belongs to them. Owaisi clarified that they will struggle for their due share and rightful position.
The MIM President responding to the reference made by Assam governor Padmanabha Balakrishna Acharya who said that Hindustan is for Hindus and Muslims were free to go to Pakistan or Bangladesh, said that they are Indians by not just birth but also choice and will not leave the country.
