Indrani Mukerjea, the prime accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, had told her step-son Rahul that her daughter Sheena Bora spoke to her only when she wanted money, according to a transcript accessed by the CBI.

"The only reason she contacted me basically because she wanted money... There was no other reason that she wanted to contact me," Mukerjea told her step son in one of their telephonic conversations which he had recorded.

Mukerjea, who was engaged to Bora, had started recording conversations with his step mother after he began to distrust her.

Mukerjea also told him she had not seen Bora after 9.15 pm on April 24, 2012 (the day she was murdered).

Mukerjea, who kept trying to get information about Bora after her sudden disappearance, was convinced at one point that Indrani Mukerjea knew about her whereabouts.

"Indrani has got Sheena's phone number and she found her. Indrani had her number all along... Indrani had cooked up a plan with Sheena," Mukerjea told Peter Mukerjea, his father.

Peter Mukerjea, who is married to Indrani Mukerjea, told him that he had spoken to Sheena Bora after April 24, but all she said was "I am fine."

Peter Mukerjea was arrested on November 19 last year for his alleged role in the murder conspiracy. Before that police arrested Indrani Mukerjea, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and her driver Shyamvar Rai.
