​Sonia, Priyanka Gandhi at Tehseen Poonawalla wedding​

The wedding of entrepreneur Tehseen Poonawalla with Monicka Vadera may have been a private affair but with some of the most powerful names in the country present intimately through the ceremony, the flashbulbs were bound to go in a tizzy.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi sat through the rituals along with daughter Priyanka - (bhabhi of the bride), BJP patriarch LK Advani along with his daughter Pratibha was escorted to the stage by the groom's brother Shehzad Poonawalla, while Rahul Gandhi flew in after a long day of campaigning in Assam to wish the couple.

Also spotted were Feroze Varun Gandhi, former union ministers Salman Khursheed, Gurudas Kamat, Manish Tewari, Rehman Khan, Kamal Nath, stalwarts such as Motilal Vohra, Janardhan Dviwedi, MPs Shashi Tharoor, Deepender Hooda, IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla, Youth Congress President Raja Brar, NSUI President Roji John, several leaders from the BJP who are often seen on television sparring with the Poonawalla brothers, Home minister Rajnath Singh's closest confidante Sudhanshu Trivedi, Amar Singh, Bhojpuri sensation Ravi Kishen, leaders from AAP including MLA Alka Lamba as also owners and editors from leading media houses.
