Saveetha University organised ‘Save–a-Life-Movement’, a largest Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training on the World Health Day -- April 7 at their campus in Thandalam, Chennai. 

Chennai: Saveetha University organised ‘Save–a-Life-Movement’, a largest Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training on the World Health Day -- April 7 at their campus in Thandalam, Chennai.

The mega event not only created awareness about CPR but also produced the maximum number (about 28,050) of CPR-trained people in a day, which was recorded in the Guinness Book.

The whole event was conceived, planned and executed over a year. The training was conducted in 6 sessions, each covering 5,000 participants lasting for an hour.

In each session, 500 stations were operated and 10 participants were trained in each station. All participants were given chance at least twice to practice on the manikin.

The participants who were able to perform the chest compressions were certified as CPR trained.
