Coastal Fiesta held at DLF Gardencity

Coastal Fiesta, a grand musical evening was organized on 28th May’16 at DLF Gardencity, Gurgaon. The event was held to celebrate the onset of summers with a theme based coastal extravaganza. This afforded an opportunity to the residents to interact with each other in a jubilant mood. The fun-filled evening included live music, activities for children as well as food stalls.

‘My family and I had a wonderful time at the Coastal Fiesta today. More than often, our schedule leaves us very little time to interact with our neighbors. Such events should be organized on regular basis so that we are able to meet other residents frequently. The scrumptious food and foot tapping music made the evening truly memorable’, said Ms. Shweta Vijay, a DLF Gardencity resident.

Special live performance by singer Vikky Singh and female vocalist Manu Sodhi was one of the main highlights of the evening. The duo commenced the show with Bollywood songs but on popular demand sang hit Punjabi numbers too. People of all age groups danced energetically to the bhangra beats.

A photo booth had especially been set up with a beach backdrop to give the residents a coastal feel. The booth turned out to be a major crowd puller and saw residents scrambling to get themselves clicked.

The theme-based program, Coastal Fiesta included several activities like Tattoo Making and Hair Wrapping for children.There was also arrangement for stalls offering a variety of mouth- watering options like ice lollies, Gelato Vinto Ice Cream Desert, coconut water, Tex Mex and street food.

Commenting on the Coastal Fiesta, Col. Tejbir Singh, General Manager (Township), DLF said, ‘We have been organizing various social, cultural and sports activities at our township, DLF Gardencity as we believe that it is extremely important to bring people together on a social platform. It was very encouraging to see residents come in huge numbers to participate in the Coastal Fiesta’.
