New Delhi: Pingali Chaitanya and Alapati Venkata Subba Rao have bagged 'Yuva/ Bala Sahitya Puraskars' for their works in Telugu for 2016. This was announced by Secretary of Central Sahitya Akademi K Srinivasa Rao here on Thursday.
While Pingali bagged the honours for 'Chittagong Viplava Vanitalu', Alapati got it for 'Swarna Pushpalu'. While the first book chronicles the contribution of Chittagong women to Indian freedom struggle, no information was given on the second one except for the fact that it is related to 'Bala Geyaalu'.
