Mumbai based Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust, set up by philanthropist Mahendra Mehta, in 1990, is organising 6 mobility camps in Mumbai city, from January to April 2017. They will be distributing prosthetic legs, calipers, wheel chairs and hearing aids as a part of this initiative.

Speaking about the camp, Rajiv Mehta, Trustee Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust said, “ Hundred of our patrons and members are running the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon to raise money for our mobility camps. Every wheelchair, every prosthetic leg that we can give, changes the life of someone."

These mobility camps are to be conducted throughout the city in places like Jogeshwari, Antop Hill, Colaba, Kurla, Vashi and Govandi, from 18th Jan to 8th April. In true philanthropic spirit, the mobility camp is open to all; without any prior registration.

Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust will also be seen setting up a Motivational Zone at the marathon to raise awareness for the mobility camps, with a band of singers who will be singing to inspire runners on their way. The zone will help create an electrifying aura, and attract thousands of people to stop and watch the performers on stage.
