Chartered plane crashes in Mumbai; five killed

A chartered plane crashed in an open area in Ghatkopar on Thursday afternoon resulting in the death of five people.

The aircraft crashed near Jagruthi building in Sarvodaya Nagar of Ghatkopar area in Mumbai today at around 1.30 pm. Following the crash, thick flames and black smoke were seen rising from the wreckage, as per the images tweeted by ANI.

The police informed that fire brigade and disaster management teams were deployed immediately.

According to the reports, the aircraft was about to land when it crashed. More details are awaited.
