A total of 33,875 students are appearing the exams. Police promulgated Section 144 at the public examination centres and flying squads were formed to prevent malpractice in the centres. On the first day, the examination passed off peacefully in the district. The district administration made elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations. Anantapur: Amidst the unscheduled power cuts, the Tenth Class annual examinations began in Anantapur district. The exams are being held in 194 centres and a total of 49, 379 students are appearing for the exams. Even though the district administration assured to provide power supply from 9.30 am to 12 noon to help students to write their examinations in a hassle-free manner, the students reportedly experienced frequent power cuts in most centres, particularly in rural areas. Kadapa: The SSC annual examinations began in Kadapa district on Friday. According to the officials, the exams are being held at 158 centres. In all, 16 route officers, 16 additional route officers and other officials were deputed for the exams. Moreover, 158 chief superintendents, 158 department officers, 10 flying squads and 23 sitting squads were deputed to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams. DEO Anjajah on Friday visited a government school at Gandhi Nagar in Kadapa town and inspected the facilities at the examination centre.
