Furore over remarks against YSR

Nellore: YSR Congress Party activists led by the party Nellore Constituency In-charge P Anil Kumar Yadav staged a protest against the remarks made by Anam Ramnarayan Reddy on YSR's family members at the Saluchintala Varadhi Centre in the city on Saturday. Women activists participated in the agitation gave vent to their anger by hitting Ramnarayan Reddy's effigy with chappals. Later, they burnt the effigy of the minister. Speaking at the programme, Anil Kumar Yadav termed Anam brothers as corrupt and disloyal. He said that Anam's effigy was burnt in protest against the remarks made on the YSRCP President YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Anil Kumar Yadav said that the comments were intended to gain political mileage. He pointed out that Anam brothers were enjoying political power by winning elections in the name of late YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Anil Kumar Yadav visited the 50 division in the city as a part of 'Praja Deevena' programme on Saturday. The programme is meant to explain the party's policies to the people and to know the problems of the people. He alleged that people were suffering due to the inefficiency of Congress Government. He claimed that Jagan would become Chief Minister in the forthcoming general elections. Party leaders Gunduboina Nagabushanam, Lokireddy Venkateshwara Reddy, R Jessy, SK Jan and others participated in the programme. Nellore: Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy's remarks on late YS Rajashekara Reddy and his family members evoked strong criticism from various quarters in the district. YSR Congress Party activists took a strong exception to the comments made by the minister. They held a procession with the effigy of the minister, hit it with chappals and burnt it at Trunk Road in the town on Saturday. They said that people would give a fitting reply to the remarks against YSR in the ensuing general elections. They said that Anam owed his political career to YSR and alleged that he turned disloyal after the death of the great leader. Mydukur: YSRCP leader YS Vivekananda Reddy reacted strongly on Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy for his remarks on YS Janamohan Reddy. Speaking to the media here at Mydukur on Saturday, he criticised that all the Congress leaders who have supported YS Rajasekhara Reddy during his tenure are now criticising him and that shows their honesty. "Jagan never even for once went to cabinet or secretariat when late YSR was the chief minister. People will understand why they (Congress leaders) are making such comments," he said. The government has resolved to suppress Jagan and forget to solve public problems, he criticised.
