Finally, the Telangana Government announced that it has shelved the plan.
In a similar move, the Central Government has beaten the dust on Land acquisition bill and agreed to rollback the same.
Both the policies faced fierce opposition. And both the State and the Central Government have taken a u-turn on the proposed cheap liquor policy and land acquisition process respectively after facing a massive social backlash.
These developments proved that there is nothing like unconditional mandate.
It also proved that strong public uproar always works and any government should dump their moves bowing to the pressure and escape the wrath of public.
