Prohibitory orders in Karimnagar
Following information that certain groups are trying to disrupt law and order situation on Tuesday inciting communal animosity between different communities, the Commissioner imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC from 5 pm on December 5 to 6 am on December 7, banning all types of protests, rallies and public meetings.
Karimnagar: As a precautionary measure, Commissioner of Police VB Kamalasan Reddy has on Monday promulgated prohibitory orders on Tuesday (December 6) in view of anniversary of demolition of the disputed structure Babri Masjid at Ayodhya.
Following information that certain groups are trying to disrupt law and order situation on Tuesday inciting communal animosity between different communities, the Commissioner imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC from 5 pm on December 5 to 6 am on December 7, banning all types of protests, rallies and public meetings.
The order also prohibits groups or individuals from making any speech, gesture or displaying pictures, symbols, placards flags etc. in the Commissionerate area. However, the orders exempt police, military, home guards on duty and funeral processions.
