col2Nizamabad: District Collector Christina Z Chongthu asked the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes being implemented by the State and Central Governments to open bank accounts before March 19 without fail.In a press release issued here on Thursday, the Collector said the governments had proposed to credit all kinds of financial assistance, subsidies and other benefits into the bank accounts of identified beneficiaries among various sections of people.

So the beneficiaries (already identified candidates) among SCs, STs, BCs and Minorities have to open bank accounts immediately so that the officials of various departments can deposit the amounts into the bank accounts of individuals before the end of March, the Collector said.

Ms Chongthu asked the bank managers, mandal parishad development officers (MPDOs) and village level officials to take steps so that the beneficiaries belonging to SCs, STs, BCs and Minorities ground their units � industrial, business, dairy, housing and other categories � on March 20 and 21. The officials have to help the beneficiaries to open their bank accounts. The Collector expressed her satisfaction over near achieving the targets in extending financial assistance to the identified beneficiaries in the specified categories.

Out of the 1,183 allocated units by SC Corporation, aid was sanctioned to 960 persons; of the 1,170 cases sanctioned by BC Corporation, 1,100 were given assistance; assistance was given to all the 390 beneficiaries sanctioned by the ST Corporation, she said.

Aspirants belonging to washermen, Naibrahmin, Vaddera, Poosala Sanghams and other communities have to submit their applications for financial assistance before March 19, the Collector stated.
