Nizamabad: Minister for Major and Medium Irrigation P Sudarshan Reddy visited the rain affected villages in Bodhan mandal of Nizamabad district on Wednesday. It may be noted that unseasonal rains and hailstorms accompanied by strong gales lashed the Nizamabad district on Monday and Tuesday. Crops in several hundreds of acres were damaged.

Sudarshan Reddy visited Bellapur, Minarpalli, Sangam, Bhavanipet and few other villages in Bodhan mandal and inquired about the damage of standing crops.

District Collector Christina Z Chongtu appealed to farmers, including the tenant farmers, to renewal the crop insurance cards to get the compensation and other financial benefits from the Government.
