Snake scare at BSNL office

Tarnaka: Snake scare gripped customers at the BSNL office here on Tuesday and threw normalcy out of gear.

Jahangir, an employee at the centre, informed that several such incidents took place at the premises in the past and that snakes trace their route from the Osmania University. “They find shelter in the trees and heaps of trash lying here,” he said.

An official on condition of anonymity revealed, “It is unfortunate that our office lies right near the erstwhile forest areas of the Osmania campus. With the green cover being used for developmental activities, the snakes often land up on roofs and floors of our buildings.”

Meanwhile, frightened officials drove the reptile into to the bushes behind the quarters.
