Police should catch the real culprits

The recent killing of the 20 woodcutters by the AP police is appreciated by one and all. But the truth is that real smugglers have been caught yet; they are looting precious national wealth in Seshalam forests in Chittoor district and elsewhere. As enormous green cover is lost, there is an immediate need for the government to take up afforestation on a massive scale to ensure equilibrium in environment. A minimum of 33 per cent of the total area in both Telugu States should be dedicated to tree plantation.
