Actor/activist Rahul Bose has been named the brand ambassador of the world's largest school competition “Design for Change” (DFC), launched by its founder Kiran Bir Sethi six years ago in Ahmedabad.

According to a written statement from Rahul Bose, DFC is an award-winning global movement led by children. Their stories help to bring change. “DFC uses Design Thinking through Feel, Imagine, Do and Share, to help children find answers... from stopping child marriages, cleaning neighbourhoods, preserving cultural heritage, they are proving what is takes to be able to design a future that is desired.”

In the past five years, the DFC has enabled children in over 3,000 schools in India to create a positive change in their immediate environment, involved participants from over 30 countries and collected over 10,000 stories on 16 diverse issues.

“The most compelling stories of change by children will be featured on www.satyamevjayate.in.” said DFC founder Sethi. Amar Chitra Katha will give away gift hampers to 80 winning schools while Disney Play Centres will award the top 20 winning schools.

The last date for submission of entries is August 15. Stories in the form of reports have to reach by October 2 and the prizes will be announced on November 14. Best stories will be published in the annual book ‘I CAN’.
