NeglectVikarabad (Rangareddy): Women should take care of the families to protect the Indian culture, Minister for Handlooms and Textiles G Prasad Kumar said here on Tuesday while distributing the cheques and tricycles to the members of DWMA Group under the aegis of Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA). Addressing the self-help groups the minister said that while husbands were attending their jobs, the women were leaving the children to fend for themselves which was western culture. He appealed to the women to take care of their families to avoid this situation. The minister said that the State Government has finalized 50 per cent reservations for women in the local body elections. He said that the chief minister introduced the Bangarutalli scheme to increase the ratio of girls. MEPMA project director Subrahmanyam said that the Bangarutalli scheme was applicable to all girl children born after May 1. He said that he would all the schemes successfully to make Rangareddy district number one in the state. Market committee chairman L Sasank Reddy, Savareddipet PACS chairman Kishan Naik, municipal commissioner Jaitram Naik, Congress Seva Dal district president Chandrasekhar, town DWMA leader Ratnamma, leaders Ratna Reddy, Rajaratnam, Pentaiah, Raghavan Naik and others were present.
