vu2 Tirupati: The nine-day Brahmotsavams of Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple concluded on a religious note with Chakrasnanam performed at Kapilateertham temple tank here on Tuesday. TTD EO LV Subramanyam, who participated in the programme, told the media that the KRT Brahmotsavams went off on a colourful note with tens of thousands of pilgrims thronging the temple from different places to witness the grandeur of Lord Sri Rama. "Even the Ramakoti and Srimadramayana Gosthi also garnered huge response from the pilgrims, which is a welcoming aspect," he added. He said every temple has its own historical and mythological significance. "So we are putting all efforts to organise the annual religious events of each and every sub-temple of TTD on par with Sri Tirumala temple," he maintained. Later, he appealed to the pilgrims to take part in a big way in the Lord Sri Laxmi Narayana Swamy Brahmotsavams at Tarigonda, which took off on Tuesday and concludes on March 28. Joint Executive Officer P Venkatarami Reddy, Deputy EO (Local Temples) Chandrasekhar Pillai, DPP Special Officer Raghunath, Superintendent Engineer Sudhakar Rao, Executive Engineer Jagadeeswara Reddy, Garden Superintendent Srinivas, Temple Superintendent Munisuresh Reddy, Temple Inspector Anjaneyulu, Temple Staff and devotees took part in the festivities. Immense reception to 'Subhapradham' The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has received a massive response to the second phase of the 'Subhapradham' programme. Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, TTD Executive Officer LV Subramanyam said that Subhapradham scheme is intended to inculcate moral and ethical values among the tenth pass outs and Inter students. The official said that so far the TTD has received over 4000 applications from across the State. The last date of receiving applications is on March 31 and we are expecting good numbers," he added. He appealed to the parents to send their children for these classes for learning moral values embedded in Hindu Sanatana Dharma as they will not only help them to become complete human beings with good character but also make them good citizens of the country.
